On Sunday September 4th, select cinemas will be showing advanced screenings of Zookeeper to raise money for the Sony Foundation. Tickets cost $9.00, with proceeds going towards helping young people struggling with issues such as homelessness, serious illness and disability. Hoyts, on Level 3 of Melbourne Central, is among participating cinemas, and will screen the film at 10:00am.

Zookeeper stars Kevin James (The King of Queens, Paul Blart: Mall Cop) as the kind-hearted caretaker of the Franklin Park Zoo, Griffin Keyes.  Finding himself more comfortable with a lion than a lady, Griffin decides the only way to get a girl in his life is to leave the zoo and find a more glamorous job.  The animals, in a panic, decide to break their time-honoured code of silence and reveal their biggest secret: they can talk! Desperate to keep Griffin from leaving, they decide to teach him the rules of the animal kingdom, even if it means getting up to lots of mischief along the way.  The film also stars Rosario Dawson and Leslie Bibb and features the voices of Cher, Nick Nolte, Adam Sandler, and Sylvester Stallone.
