CRICKET, cheap movies, and a Christmas light show – just some of Diane Leow’s suggestions for the final weekend of 2012!

Langham Lightshow
Until December 28

If you wish Christmas could last that little bit longer, head on down to the Langham Melbourne to catch a delightful lightshow telling the story of its “Goose Hunter” statue’s Christmas wish – to come to life in a Winter Wonderland. This lightshow is being held to help raise funds for the Make-a-Wish Foundation so throw a coin into the fountain if you’re able. The lights come on hourly from 12pm to 11pm. Check out the video above for a preview!

Australia v. Sri Lanka Live Site
Until December 28 – Peppercorn Lawn

Cricket fans, take note. If you didn’t manage to grab tickets to the Australia v. Sri Lanka games, you can try catch them for free! Bask in the glorious sunshine while watching Sri Lanka and Australia battle it out at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). Pack some snacks or bring an esky filled with cold drinks, and cheer on your favourite team.
