Human Rights Arts and Film Festival tickets FTW

FIND out how you can win a pair of tickets to the Australian premier of the documentary Sun Kissed at the Human Rights & Arts Film Festival. Competition closes this Thursday!

Meld Magazine has one double pass to give away to a lucky reader to see Sun Kissed, which will screening at ACMI on Tuesday May 14 as part of the Human Rights & Arts Film Festival.

Sun Kissed, which will be screening in both English and Navajo with English subtitles, follows the journey of Navajo couple Yolanda and Dorey Nez whose children have inherited a rare, recessive genetic disorder known as XP.

Yolanda and Dorey are burdened by the fact that they carry the defective gene, a one in a million chance – and when rumours surface of other children on the Navajo reservation also carry the XP gene, they begin an investigation into a disturbing truth, dating right back to the earliest days of the Navajo/settler encounter.

A portrait of the Wild West as you’ve never seen it before, Sun Kissed is punctuated with beautiful imagery of the New Mexican landscape, which starkly contrasts with the final, shocking revelation.
