Yes that’s right, Singapore’s 48th  National Day is just around the corner and the excitement is tangible.

On August 9, the Singaporeans of Victoria are inviting you to join them in a proud celebration of all things Singaporean at the Chasers Nightclub, 386 Chapel St, South Yarra.

Mouth watering curries, flashy banners in red and white, live home-grown musical talents, and let’s not forget the parade.

Tickets are $25 and $20 for early birds who purchase tickets by August 2.

In exchange, the organisers are promising a fabulous night of entertainment, including NDP 2013 goodie bags (first in, best dressed), live musical performances from Charlie Lim and the Cashew Chemists, live screening of the parade back home and free entry to the after party featuring Singaporean DJ’s flown in especially for the event, and local talents Mambo Jambo.

But perhaps even more importantly, you’ll be pleased to know it comes complete with a fully catered dinner. Food is undoubtedly an interest close to all Singaporean hearts (and stomachs), and the spread will be definitely worth shouting about.

Celebrations kick off at 6.30pm and will go on till late. Check out the Facebook event page for more information.
