FTW: Tickets to The Hunger Games – Catching Fire in IMAX
TO celebrate The Hunger Games‘ return to the big screen this November, we have two double passes to giveaway to enthused fans. Sol Ahn explains how you can win tickets to see the sequel in IMAX.
After the box-office success of The Hunger Games, the series’ sequel, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, returns this year, serving up another deadly tournament for its competitors.
Based on Suzanne Collins’ best selling series, the sequel sees series protagonist, Katiness Everdeen (Academy Award-winning actress, Jennifer Lawrence) become a symbol of rebellion to all districts after breaking the rules of The Capitol.
After her victory in the 74th Annual Hunger Games, Katniss, along with Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson), is forced to participate in the 75th edition of the games – a game that sees past victors compete against one another.
In addition to Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson, returning cast members include Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Stanley Tucci and Lenny Kravitz. Joining them will be new cast members, Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Jena Malone.
Though fans of the series will no doubt turn out in droves to catch the film, consideration to see the film in IMAX ought to be given as this particular installment in The Hunger Games series sees segments of the film captured on IMAX cameras – similar to shooting strategies adopted by The Dark Knight and its sequel.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire opens nationally across Australian cinemas on November 21.
