Hosted by the JMC Academy, one of Australia’s leading Creative Industries institutions, the 2013 Creative Arts Festival & Awards Night event showcases the work produced by JMC’s students. In addition to giving the students a platform to have their work shown to the public, the two-day festival also celebrates them through performances, screenings and exhibitions.

The festival consists of four exciting events: the 2013 Creative Showcase, the Martini Film Awards, the Animation and Game Design Exhibition and the Audio Engineering Soundscape Exhibition.

On the first day of the festival, the Animation and Game Design Exhibition will kick off from 5.00pm which will then be followed by the Audio Engineering Soundscape Exhibition at 6.00pm. Both exhibitions will open till late. At 7.00pm that same day, visitors will also be able to enjoy seeing award-winning short films, documentaries, animations and music videos at the Martini Film Awards.

Both the Animation and Game Design Exhibition and Audio Engineering Soundscape Exhibition will be open on the second day from 12.00pm to 6.30pm as well.

The two day festival will then end with a wonderful closure in the 2013 Creative Showcase, which will feature music performances starting from 7.30pm. Attendees are also welcome to join the afterparty at 9.30pm.

Tickets to the two-day festival will cost $20 for adults and $12 for students. A General admission ticket includes access to all JMC events on December 4 and 5, so you can experience the two day extravaganza with no restriction and support the participants’ creativity.

All events are held at The Malthouse Theatre in Southbank (The Coopers Malthouse, 113 Sturt Street, Southbank). The festival’s timetable is available at JMC’s official website. To purchase tickets, visit The Malthouse Theatre’s website.
