Maximum Rage at Bar 291
Friday, May 9 (8.30 pm); Bar 291 (291 Albert St, Brunswick)

Brunswick’s Bar 291 is puttingon the first of its free Friday night Maximum Rage gigs.

The evening has an excellent line-up of experimental acts on offer including Baller Player Gnar from New Zealand, Sydney’s Making and Soft Power (featuring members of Sky Needle and Cured Pink).

Matthew Brown, Horse MacGyver and Schoolgirl Report will also be playing on the night.

Enchantment: The Art of Walt Disney & Dreamworks
Saturday, May 10 – Sunday, September 28 (Opening Times Vary); Silver K Gallery (1092 High St, Armadale)

Silver K Gallery has a huge selection of prints and photographs from a whole range of genres that celebrate the art of Disney and Dreamworks Animations.

Check out more than 150 pieces on display from numerous television shows and films with original film cel master backgrounds and Disney television production cels.

There’s also their huge collection of images from film, television, pop culture and music from the past 50 years. Have a look around and maybe you’ll even pick up something special to take home!

The Ballarat Heritage Weekend has a huge program of free entertainment, activities, performances, markets, tours, dining and dancing experiences and other not to be missed activities.

Enjoy the Indie Vintage Market in Bath Lane or take a ride on a double-decker bus or steam train.

Lonely Hunter Market

The Lonely Hunter Design Market, a monthly design market is on again at Cape Lounge in Brunswick.

The indie design market focuses on locally made products, showcasing the best in handmade fashion, art, homewares, accessories and jewellery. You’ll find up-and-coming designers offering a variety of goods as well as a chance to get creative with DIY workshops at their Lost In The Craft program.
