Winter Runway Looks for Everyday

LOOKING for ways to update your wardrobe for the winter? From neutrals to bold prints, Chrisella Sentana has got inspired looks with budget friendly pieces below $70 that you can snag!

Wintry Neutrals

Chanel’s take on white on white is a perfect trend to play with this winter. To prevent looking washed out, vary the lengths and textures of your outfit by layering a white skater dress with a jeweled sweater reminiscent of Chanel’s look above. Don a cropped faux fur jacket to shield yourself from the winter gales, and sling on a mint cross body bag to add some colour to your ensemble.

Edgy Menswear

With Melbourne’s infamous sudden temperature changes, a bomber jacket is an excellent addition to your wardrobe. Layer a patterned bomber jacket over a snug cream sweater for a chic menswear vibe (like that seen on the Saint Laurent Spring 2014 runway), and pair it with leather trousers and lace-up boots for an edge that you can replicate in class!

Orange and Blue

Blue and Orange has been such a hit colour combination in the Spring collections of Chanel. To get a winter-appropriate inspiration from Chanel’s version of this trend, start off with a soft orange-cropped top over a pair of light wash jeans. Wear Sportsgirl’s tangerine sweater over this for warmth, and complete the look with a quilted backpack!

About

Meld Magazine was incorporated as an independent not-for-profit media outlet in September 2008 to reach out to international students in Melbourne, and provide students the opportunity to gain real work experience.

Many international students live in or around the city because of the proximity to their colleges and universities, and that was where we decided to focus our efforts first. Many of us live, work and study locally too. Our editorial team is made of both local and international students, and it has worked to our advantage in providing local content in every sense of the word.
