CONDOM negotiation – yes you heard that right. It’s a skill that every sexually active young person should possess. In the last of our SEXtember series, we offer up some ideas on how you can respond in different scenarios where you’ll need to negotiate safe sex practices with your partner. 

It’s one thing to know the importance of having safe sex, and quite another to put it into practice. When is the right time to talk about it? How do you talk about it?

The best time is before and not in the heat of the moment, as you may find yourself in a compromising situation especially if your partner isn’t keen on the idea of using condoms at all.
