Melbourne International Jazz Festival 2015 
Friday, May 28 – Sunday, June 7 (various times);  across Melbourne

Attention jazz lovers: the Melbourne International Jazz Festival is back in town!

Since 1998, the annual event has celebrated the spirit of jazz with a platform for performance, collaboration, education and engagement. It’s diverse programming aims to appeal to both young and old, which includes modern masters of jazz, late night art parties, Australian/international collaborations and pathways for emerging artists, and many exciting free events.

Victorian Architecture Awards Exhibition
Monday, May 25 – Monday, June 8; Federation Square

Want to see Victoria’s best building designs? Come to Fed Square!

For two weeks an exhibition presented by the Australian Institute of Architects showcases entries for the 2015 Victorian Architecture Awards.

The program allows everyone to appreciate the innovative work of Victorian architects. It also aims to promote architects and architecture within Victoria, across Australia and internationally.

Do you love to write? Eager to hone your craft? Don’t miss this annual event where writing talent is celebrated and nurtured.

For 10 days you’ll be able to immerse yourself in workshops, talks, masterclasses, symposiums and networking events which bring an array of writers, editors, publishers and performers together with readers for a festival that is an essential part of Australia’s literary calendar.

Fitness at Fed Square

Get active with free fitness classes at Federation Square led by health coaches and fitness instructors from Healthy Lifestyle Lounge this Friday morning.

The classes are designed to help city workers keep fit and healthy. It includes circuit-based exercise that incorporates body weight exercises, cardio training and core strength movements designed to invigorate the mind, body and soul.

Classes are simple and fun. All ages and fitness levels welcome!
