The A-League’s Melbourne Victory will be going head to head with J1 League’s Gamba Osaka on May 3 in what is sure to be an exciting game.

This final game is essential for Melbourne Victory as a win will signal the club’s advancement into the knockout rounds of the AFC Champions League where they will face some of the very best football teams in Asia.

With the tournament’s group stages coming to a close soon, Melbourne Victory’s Group G has seen some strong competitive play. Shanghai SIPG is currently leading the charge in Group G with a total of 12 points after defeating Victory in its home city. Melbourne Victory and the Suwon Samsung Bluewings FC are even with six points each while Gamba Osaka has only two points, having lost three games and drawing in two.
