UPDATE (March 9, 2017): Due to unforseen circumstances outside of the control of the Artiumnation team, the headline guests from Indonesia will be unable to attend and perform for the event this Saturday. Traditional Indonesian performances and other musical acts sourced locally will still perform as planned. Tickets to the event are also free now.

Melbourne Town Hall will transform into a flight simulator when Indonesian non-profit organisation Saman Melbourne presents its twelfth edition of Artiumnation on Saturday, March 11!

With this year’s theme of “Fly to Indonesia”, Artiumnation will see a night full of ‘in-flight entertainment’ as musical and dance performers aim to offer those in attendance a deep-dive into Indonesia’s arts and culture.

The evening will consist of traditional dance and music as well as contemporary guest performers from Indonesia. Special guests that you can expect at Artiumnation 2017 include:

  • Asgukka Zee: Prodigious pop/rock singer who came to public attention through her performance in the talent show Idola Cilik (Young Idols).
  • HIVI!: A band from Jakarta, Indonesia formed in 2009. They have performed all over Western Europe, promoting Indonesian culture and musical style.
  • Naif : Indonesian band who formed in 1995. In 2009, Rolling Stone Indonesia listed their songs “Mobil Balap” (“Racecar”) and “Posesif” (“Possessive”) as some of the best Indonesian songs of all time.
  • …and MANY MORE!

Tickets are currently on sale at $30 and can be purchased by contacting Artiumnation’s Diovi (+61 402 461 310) or Vanka(+61 405 084 212).

Don’t miss out on a memorable night of live entertainment and fun with Artiumnation as music and dance both old and new intertwine.
