Returning for another stellar year of jazz goodness is the Melbourne International Jazz Festival!

Who can you expect to see perform at this year’s festival?

  • Dianne Reeves: Hailed as jazz’s greatest living vocalist, Grammy Award winning singer Dianne Reeves will be performing at Hamer Hall as part of this year’s festival.
  • Kenny Barron Trio: Performing at the Melbourne Recital Centre, the critically acclaimed trio will be performing songs from their Grammy nominated release, Book of Intuition.
  • Monash University Jazz Futures feat. Art Hoenig Trio: Support students and staff at Monash University who’ve rehearsed with New York drummer, composer, arranger and bandleader Ari Hoenig to put on a show to remember.

The Good Food and Wine Show

You’ve probably seen the posters circulating around Melbourne and on trams but what exactly is the Good Food and Wine Show?

As its name suggests, you’ll discover a new world of delectable treats at the show as local and international exhibitors aim to impress you and your taste buds with a whole range of food and drinks for you to sample away.

Taking place at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre, festival attendees can take part in free wine tasting classes, learn to create the perfect Italian pizza, stop by the champagne and oyster bar or visit the many exhibitors who will be selling their products and dishes on the day.

An adult ticket on Friday will cost you $30 while an adult ticket on Saturday and Sunday will cost you $35.00. Concessions on Friday at $25 while concessions on Saturday and Sunday are $30. All prices listed here are reflective of online ticketing and may change if purchased at the door.

Mulled wine season is upon us and what better way to bring in Winter than by visiting Queen Victoria Market and trying out some of the best local wines produced today.

To coincide with America’s own Doughnut Day, select Krispy Kreme outlets around Australia will be gifting you with one free donut this weekend! Need to know where you can grab a free donut?

Participating Krispy Kreme outlets include:

Collins St (Melbourne, CBD)
Swanston St (Melbourne, CBD)
Fountain Gate Factory Shop (Westfield Fountain Gate, Narre Warren)

Melbourne Airport will also be participating in the promotion so if you are going to be leaving the country or have friends and family arriving for graduation, make sure that you/they pass by Terminal 1, 2 and 3 to pick up a free Krispy Kreme donut!
