THANKS to Masterchef, dessert and pastry chef Adriano Zumbo has landed his own television series, Zumbo, on SBS.

Scheduled to air on SBS One in February, the half-hour episodes will feature Zumbo and his team as they bring his famous creations to life.

In the series, the 29-year-old macaron master creates the largest range of macarons Australia has ever seen – 60 new flavours in just five days – ranging from, yes, wait for it, pigs blood and chocolate, to hamburger and 23 carat-edible-gold.

In another feat, Zumbo chooses the runway to launch his summer range of desserts ‘Summer Love’. Thirty models strut their stuff down a catwalk showcasing the beautiful new range of desserts as 200 lucky fans are among the first to sample his creations.

Viewers will get a glimpse into the family and private life of Zumbo as he returns to his hometown in Coonamble, in country New South Wales.

You’ll also get to follow Zumbo as he returns to his family roots for the first time in five years, visiting his hometown Coonamble in country New South Wales. Coonamble is flooded, but the show must go on, and Zumbo, with the help of two of his staff, cater for one of the biggest events of the year, his dad’s birthday.

Like any good reality/documentary series, there’s plenty of drama and excitement in the busy Balmain kitchen to keep your eyes glued to the screen.
