To keep up with our rapid growth, Meld Magazine is looking for qualified interns to join the team and own specific growth projects within the organisation. Up to three positions are available for capable candidates.

General Competencies

  • Outstanding written and communication skills
  • Knowledge of technology and passionate about reaching international students
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Team-oriented

The specific projects that are available cover the following areas

  • IT and Operations
  • Strategy and Business Development
  • Legal
  • Events Management

Internships are designed as structured pieces of work that the intern will own, and will offer successful applicants the opportunity to gain valuable work experience that will assist in securing future employment. Guidance will also be provided by industry professionals to ensure a rewarding learning experience. Internships are unpaid and will have flexible work arrangements. The duration ranges from eight weeks to six months depending on the project which the intern is responsible for.

This is the perfect opportunity for final year university students and recent university graduates to apply their knowledge in a practical working environment, continue learning and make some great contacts along the way.

About Meld Magazine

Meld Magazine was incorporated as an independent not-for-profit media outlet in September 2008 to reach out to international students in Melbourne, and provide
students the opportunity to gain real work experience.

With no paid staff, Meld relies solely on volunteers. The founders of this magazine include present and former international students from various industries, including
media and marketing, business, law and international student services.

The Meld Magazine office is located in Carlton, Melbourne.
