GAIN valuable work experience and learn more about fair trade by volunteering at the Fair@Square fair trade festival taking place from November 30 to December 2 this year.
The time has come again for the annual Fair@Square fair trade event at Melbourne’s Federation Square from November 30 to December 2, and organisers are now seeking volunteers to give them a hand to make this year’s event the best festival yet.
Volunteers can get involved in different aspects of the festival, such as helping coordinate volunteers, during activities and programs – guide festival goers through the Fair Living display and edible garden, help out at the Ethical Fashion Show, and engage audiences at Celebrity Chefs.
Media and communications students could also gain some valuable experience in photography and videography, documenting events, performances, exhibitors and volunteers; as well as in PR and Marketing, assisting with the development of marketing and promotional strategies, sending out media releases, following up on media queries, and identifying marketing opportunities for the festival.
If all of this sounds like an initiative that would translate into time well spent, do visit the festival website for details on how you can apply, or get in touch with Jen for more information at volunteers@moralfairground.
