FIND out why Australians are mad about sports through the GloBALL program. Alyce Shaw tells you how you can snag tickets to popular cricket, netball and footy matches for free.

International students in Victoria can now reserve a front row seat to catch some of Australia’s most iconic sports.

Supported by the Essendon Football Club, Melbourne Vixens Netball team and Cricket Victoria, the GLoBALL program aims to give international students the opportunity to attend games like cricket, netball, and Melbourne’s beloved AFL – for free.

The program is a great way for students to gain insight to Australian culture, as well as get involved in activities that define the Australian way of life. Find out what it’s like to stand among the crowds of Melburnians cheering for their chosen team at Etihad stadium or the MCG, or even pick a team of your own to barrack for.

While the cricket season is over for the colder months, netball and footy is in full swing right now and students can register online to attend these upcoming matches for free:

Hisense Arena, Melbourne

Sunday, June 23
