The Dandenong region is the ideal nature lover’s paradise. Just two hours away from the city via public transport, it offers a number of activities including an hour stroll (return) through the ash tree forest to Sherbrooke falls. Soak up the beauty of the mountainous region whilst having a picnic with your friends at designated picnic/BBQ areas.

If time persists, visits to quaint little mountain towns of Olinda, Sassafras and Belgrave are a must. However, the highlight of your visit would definitely be High Point where you will be stunned by the picturesque panoramic view of Melbourne.
