Best of Both Sides Festival 2017
Thursday, April 13 – Monday, April 17 | Lucky Coq (179 Chapel St, Windsor) and Bimbo Deluxe (376 Brunswick St, Fitzroy)

For fans of good music who want to support the local Melbourne music scene, split your long Easter weekend between sister bars Lucky Coq in Windsor and Bimbo Deluxe in Fitzroy for the best of Melbourne’s North and South. So depending on which side of Melbourne you are on, you’ll have a music venue to head down to (alternatively, dip your toes in both)!

Besides music, both Lucky Coq and Bimbo Deluxe will be offering menu deals, with pizza and drinks available for just $5.

The festival will feature a huge lineup over the five days, five stages across the two venues including Big Words, Sunshine, Illo, JPA, Kiti, Kodiak Kid, Ezra Harvey, Tom Prefect, Lotus Moonchild and many, many more.

Entry is free, so don’t miss your chance to really enjoy this long weekend chilling out with good food and music.

Chocolate Food Truck Festival

Haven’t gotten your fill of chocolate this Easter weekend? Just a regular chocoholic needing a fix? Head over to the Preston Food Truck Park and get yourself sorted out!

The Chocolate Food Truck Festival will be held over the long Easter weekend from Friday onwards and will feature more than 30 different chocolate and food vendors for you, your family and friends to indulge in this chocolatey food truck haven. There will be everything from ice cream, waffles, churros, shakes, doughnuts, and cupcakes. This is every chocolate lovers dream!

For anyone who needs to wean off all the chocolate, there will also be burger, calamari and cheese options.

The Great Luna Park Easter Egg Hunt
Sunday, April 16 (11.00am – 3.00pm) | Luna Park, 18 Lower Esplanade, St Kilda

Unleash your inner child this Easter weekend at Luna Park, Melbourne’s favourite old-world theme park. Indulge in an Easter Egg Hunt with chocolate Easter eggs scattered all around Luna Park. There are no age restrictions, but to keep it fair, egg-hunters will be split into different age groups to give everyone a fair chance at finding eggs.

Other things happening for this special Easter celebration at Luna Park include a meet and greet with the Easter Bunny, a few other top secret special invited guests, balloon artists and several featured holiday rides.

The Easter Egg hunt is free if you purchase an unlimited ride ticket or family pass ticket for the whole day. The other option is to pay the $3.00 entry fee for this special event day and Easter Egg Hunt tickets can be purchased at the box office on the day.

Flare Dance Ensemble: Cocktail Night 2017
Friday, April 14 (6.30pm – 10.30pm) | The Colonial Hotel (585 Lonsdale Street St, Melbourne)

Stressed out from classes and assignments? Run away from your responsibilities and kick off your weekend with Flare Dance Ensemble at its annual Cocktail Night, a night jam packed with amazing performances, all with the comfort of your own pyjamas on. Best dressed for the night will win a prize, so get your sleepwear game on!

Flare Dance Ensemble is a student-run dance group that provides young dancers a platform to express and perform their passion for dance. Operating since 2001, the club has organised plenty of gigs and productions, performed by aspiring and talented dancers.

Alcohol will be served at the venue which means you must be over 18 to attend.
