Lord Mayor’s Student Welcome 2018

The academic year has officially commenced and is in full swing so obviously there’s no better time to party, and the City of Melbourne is here to fully support that.

The Lord Mayor’s Student Welcome is an annual event that recognises the ever-growing cultural diversity in Melbourne by inviting all new international students together to make friends, learn about the city and most of all, have fun!

The day is going to be jam-packed with events and activities to take part in. These include:

• Learning the art of dance with Jhoom Bollywood
• Seeing a theatre performance by international student acting troupe, Act of Translation
• Free access to the entire Immigration Museum with a valid student ID

The City of Melbourne will also be hands-on and ready to help you take part in the action, answer questions or simply help you find your feet in the bustling streets.

Be ready to join the fun, make friends and find out more about the countless opportunities Melbourne has to offer from 2.00pm till 5.00pm on Saturday, March 17 at the Immigration Museum. It’s an event you won’t want to miss.  

Bookings are not required and the venue is completely accessible by public transport via the free City Circle Tram or routes 48, 55, 70 or 75.
