FTW: Sin City – A Dame to Kill For Giveaway

WE’VE four double passes for readers to see Sin City: A Dame To Kill For when it releases in cinemas on September 18. Anthea Batsakis has the contest details!

To many, the name Robert Rodriguez conjures up images of stylised gore, violence, and Rodriguez’s frequent collaborator Danny Trejo (or perhaps Spy Kids for some as well). Sin City: A Dame to Kill For embodies the on screen savagery and complex plot Rodriguez is famous for.

In collaboration with Frank Miller (creator of the Sin City comics), this film is the highly anticipated sequel to the 2005 hit, Sin City and is very much in similar vein to the first.

The crime-thriller intertwines with events from the first film and predominately focuses on Miller’s second book in the Sin City series. Much like the first, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For has an episodic structure, weaving through time and answering the lingering questions from the first film.

The ground breaking visual aesthetic of Sin City remains centrestage in this sequel, providing a pseudo-noir tone to accompany the embellished violence and all-star cast.

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For promises to be just as entertaining as the first given the insatiable appetite for vengeance that is thematic to the film.

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For will be released in Melbourne on September 18, and we’ve four double passes to giveaway to our readers! To enter, simply refer to the Rafflecopter competition below for your chance to win!

About

Meld Magazine was incorporated as an independent not-for-profit media outlet in September 2008 to reach out to international students in Melbourne, and provide students the opportunity to gain real work experience.

Many international students live in or around the city because of the proximity to their colleges and universities, and that was where we decided to focus our efforts first. Many of us live, work and study locally too. Our editorial team is made of both local and international students, and it has worked to our advantage in providing local content in every sense of the word.
