K-POP juggernauts BIGBANG will be bringing their highly-acclaimed and explosive MADE 2015 WORLD TOUR to Melbourne and Sydney for one night only in each city. Natalie Ng has the details on how and when you can purchase tickets to their Aussie shows.

For the first time ever, one of the biggest names in K-Pop will be performing in Australia: BIGBANG.

Bringing their MADE World Tour down under, fans in Australia will get to see the boys perform at Sydney’s Allphones Arena on October 17 and then a week later at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on October 21.

Tickets to see Taeyang, G-Dragon, T.O.P, Seungri and Daesung perform live in Australia will go on general sale to the public at 10.00am on Monday, August 10.

My Live Nation members can access tickets first for the Melbourne show only during its pre-sale commencing this Wednesday, August 5 at midday.

Ticketek’s pre-sale meanwhile starts midday August 7 and is open until 5.00pm on August 9.

Since their debut in 2006, BIGBANG have become icons of Korean popular culture, and are world-famous for their cutting edge music as well as for their flamboyant and distinct fashion. Group leader G-Dragon is counted as an elite member of Karl Lagerfeld’s favorites for front-row Chanel.

Their official Youtube channel has accumulated more than 1.2 billion views, with the biggest hits from their previous album ALIVE (“Fantastic Baby”, “Blue” and “Bad Boy”) counting at more than 250 million views.

Their 2012 world tour – “BIGBANG ALIVE TOUR 2012” – spanned 24 cities in 12 countries. More than 800 000 fans attended the 49 shows at the end of it all.

After a three year hiatus, BIGBANG recently emerged and has since embarked on a four month long comeback, releasing tracks and music videos every first day of the month since May.

The first comeback, the ‘M’ series, saw the release of “Loser” and “Bae Bae” and their accompanying music videos. The ‘A’ series brought the explosive summer party hits “Bang Bang Bang” and “We Like 2 Party”. Meanwhile, July saw the ‘D’ series drop, with the heartbreaking ballad “If You” alongside the energetic “Sober”.

Alongside releasing new music, BIGBANG has been touring and promoting the album since April. Their world tour has so far brought the group to stadiums across North America and has already sold out multiple dates across Asia in record time.
