Entertainment Extravaganza for the Philippines
The Entertainment Extravaganza for the Philipines is a charitable event used to raise funds for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. Phoebe Yuen has the details on how you can participate.
In an effort to support the victims whose lives have been affected by the tragedy of Typhoon Haiyan, the Entertainment Extravangaza For the Phillipines will raise funds for victims to help rebuild their lives.
Set on Thursday, December 5 at Red Bennies from 7.00pm – 10.00pm, the Entertainment Extravaganza will feature 26 extraordinary performances.
Among the performances, many of them include a variety of dancing performances such as samba, ballet, belly dancing, classical Indian dancing, Tahitian and hula dancing, contemporary dancing, hip-hop and break dancing. Other exciting displays of neo-burlesque, aerial silk art, opera, jazz, cabaret and acoustic performances will also be present.
Miss Australia (Miss Asia-Pacific World 2013) La-Toyah Asha James invites people to participate and donate.
On top of that, the event has invited singer/songwriter Czarina Lapus to perform as well as Noriko Tadano from Australia’s Got Talent and Demi Sorono from So You Think You Can Dance to give special performances.
This entertainment-packed event will also feature auctions, raffle giveaways and prizes.
Needless to say, all proceeds will be going towards a good cause, with half of it being donated to the team assisting the clean up and rebuilding in the Philippines and the other half being donated to the Red Cross.
The event is restricted to adults above 18. Tickets are $20 for pre-sale and $35 at the door. If you can’t make it to the event, you are also welcomed to donate. Ultimately, it’s the thought that counts.
The Entertainment Extravaganza for the Phillipines will take place on Thursday, December 5 at Red Bennies (373 Chapel St, South Yarra), from 7.00pm-10.00pm. To book tickets or donate, please go to the Entertainment Extravaganza’s official website.
