BE at the heart of the action this Saturday at the Lord Mayor’s Student Welcome, and celebrate the city’s cultural diversity with thousands of other international students.  Lunnie Gan has more.

Kick off this Saturday afternoon with fantastic activities and the opportunity to expand your social network at the same time, at the Lord Mayor’s Student Welcome 2016 event at City Square.

This unique event is all about recognising and celebrating the awesome contribution that multiculturalism makes to this city, and invites the participation of the some 36,000 international students who live and study in the city.

Organised by young people for young people, come ready to meet other students from all around the world, take part in cultural dance performances and workshops, sign up for volunteering opportunities and grab some free giveaways along the way.

As with previous years, this award-winning event also features the anticipated Fashion Runway, face-painting, and the chance to get up close with scaly Australian reptile friends.

The Lord Mayor’s Student Welcome invites all international students to take part in an afternoon of exciting activities with great company this Saturday March 19, 1.30pm to 5pm at City Square. For more information, head to the Lord Mayor’s Student Welcome 2016 Facebook page.
