White Night
Saturday, February 18 – Sunday, February 19 (7.00pm – 7.00am) | Various locations

Night will become day this Saturday as Melbourne transforms itself into a brilliant city of light.

White Night is back again this year, and as soon as dusk hits on Saturday, the buildings in the CBD will light up with dazzling pre-installed lights and colourful light shows. There will be something for everyone, with live music, dance performances, art shows, film screenings, interactive events and so much more livening up the night till the break of dawn.

And to top it all off, public transport (trains, trams and night buses) will be running all night so getting around and getting back from White Night will be hassle-free!

Indian Street Food Festival
Friday, February 17 – Sunday, February 19 (Various times) | The Food Truck Park (518 High St, Preston)

It’s time to set your tongues on fire this weekend at Preston’s Indian Street Food Festival!

Starting Friday, The Food Truck Park in Preston will host a variety of food trucks serving the best mouth-watering cuisines from India. There will also be dancers, henna artists, classic Bollywood films played on projectors, and many more lively events to entertain guests.

Movies Under the Stars at Yarra’s Edge

Catching a movie at an open-air cinema is one of those things we should all do at least once with someone special, whether it’s with your significant other or a group of your best friends. So why not do it this weekend?

Come on down to the open-air cinema at Yarra’s Edge, where from today to Saturday, they will be screening three blockbuster movies sure to entertain everyone beginning with the wonderful La La Land.

Oh, and bean bags are free for the first 100 guests!

The Tempest
Friday, February 17 – Sunday, March 5 (6.30pm) | The Living Museum of the West (Pipemaker’s Park Maribyrnong, 2 Van Ness, Maribyrnong)

Are you an avid Shakespeare fan? Or maybe you’ve always longed to get into the world of Shakespeare because you’ve heard such great things about it? Well, this free performance of William Shakespeare’s The Tempest is the perfect event for you!

Following their stand-out performance of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream last year, Sly Rat Theatre Co. is back, and this time, they’re bringing The Bard’s epic play The Tempest with them.

The show will take place at an outdoor theatre, so bring along your picnic blankets, some munchies, and definitely some friends, and see The Tempest come to life against the setting sun.
