Head to Argyle Square in Carlton between 10:00am to 8:00pm this Sunday for an Italian festival filled with authentic cuisine, music performances and other activities. This Friday marks the reopening of Chinatown’s iconic night market, taking place between 4:00pm to 10:00pm every Friday and Saturday. Located in Heffernan Lane, this delicious experience will offer up an array of street food to tantalise your tastebuds alongside plenty of crafts and other memorabilia to be perused.

Sri Lankan Festival – Awurudhu Pola

This Sunday, bring in the Sinhala and Tamil New Year (Awurudhu Pola) with an exciting Sri Lankan festival at the Queen Victoria Market from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Explore the variety of options to indulge in, whether you want to treat yourself to sumptuous Sri Lankan cuisine or catch another cultural activity. There will be workshops, live music and dance performances aplenty!

Revolver Lane Open Culture Series

Seeking something new for your Friday night this week? Bring out your creative side with the penultimate Friday of this series intended to bring Melbourne creatives together. Between 5:00pm to 10:00pm, Revolver Lane will showcase plenty of talent across the city’s arts scene including live music, live painting and fashion shows. This week’s event is performance-themed and will also serve free drinks before 7:00pm.

The Botanica Festival, held at the picturesque Rippon Lea Estate this Sunday from 10:00am to 3:00pm, offers exactly that! Celebrating nature, gardening and sustainability, opportunities to bask in the beautiful outdoors include an open-air market, garden tours and bird-watching walks.

Spaced Out at Queen Victoria Market

This outer space-themed event may only be taking place on Wednesday (5:00pm to 10:00pm at Queen Victoria Market), but perhaps you can prepare your appetite from this weekend – if the line-up of food trucks and street food stalls is anything to go by, it’s a must! Authentically prepared paella, freshly made cannoli and tasty American BBQ are only the start of the selection available.
