Melbourne Book Market

If the bookworm within you has been hungry to devour some great literature, the Melbourne Book Market is a must-go. The Queen Victoria Market will be selling over 5000 new and pre-loved books about literature, history, gardening, travel and more every weekend. The pop up stalls are located at L Shed (end of Peel Street) in the market and are open from 10:00am to 4:00pm. 

Free Beginners Salsa Classes

It’s time to put on your comfiest pair of dance shoes for this free Salsa Latin class for beginners. With almost 1000 students attending every week, this class is a perfect opportunity to get active while meeting new dancers. Come down to The Salsa Foundation on Little Collins Street this Sunday from 3:00pm to 4:00pm to dance the afternoon away!

While the class is free, bookings must be made in advance. 

Penguin Viewing at St Kilda

Watch your favourite fluffy birds play with each other and preen themselves at St Kilda Breakwater! While this is a self-guided tour, Parks Victoria staff will be around to answer any questions you may have. Ensure you wear close-toed shoes and a warm coat as the cooler autumn nights approach. 

While the viewings are free, bookings must be made. Various times are available this weekend. 

Let’s Meat Up BBQ for Vietnamese International Students

Calling all Vietnamese international students! Head down to Batman Park this Sunday from 1:00pm to 3:00pm to snack on some Australian BBQ and play some mini games with the new friends you meet. There will also be a Q&A taking place with international students and alumni who will share tips and advice on studying abroad in Australia.

North Fitzroy Free Community Lunch

Using food that would otherwise go to waste, Yarra Libraries Open Table prepares feasts for the community every Saturday. Hop over to Bargoonga Nganjin North Fitzroy Library from 1:00pm to 2:00pm this Saturday for a free bite and to meet some members of the community!
